Worried about global warming’s disastrous impact?
Go vegan!
We want to prevent a total ecosystem collapse and extend the planet’s habitability by transitioning to plant-based food systems
OUR MISSION
At Climate Save India, we shine a light on the environmental and ecological concerns related to animal and fish farming. When non-human animals are farmed, whether on land or in oceans, the earth suffers deeply. Human greed for maximising profits fuels them to put invasive practices in place that relentlessly use up resources and create large swathes of hazardous waste. These practices not only harm the natural environment and upset ecological balance but also affect the communities that are in proximity to those ecosystems. For example, effluents from leather tanning industries are often drained untreated into freshwater systems, this poisons the water and harm the aquatic animals and also poisons the land in the vicinity, thereby affecting human lives as well.
We are losing thousands of species every day to animal agriculture. To put a stop to this rampant abuse of nature, we engage people through various channels and explain to them the impact of their choices and guide them towards making better ones to improve planetary health.
WHAT WE DO
OUR EFFORTS
ACTIVISM
We use posters, stickers, and fliers with facts and figures about climate change and put them in places like restaurants and malls across the city. We participate in climate marches and urge policy makers and big industries to switch to a plant-based system as means to curb our emissions and slow down global warming. We extend our efforts to non-human animals as well by feeding plant-based food to community animals who are abandoned or simply neglected.
COLLABORATION
We partner with other environmental organisations such as beach cleanups, clothes donation drives, wildlife rehabilitation centres, and zero-waste events to spread awareness about climate action through veganism. These collaborations help us to amplify our voices, meet like-minded people, and network with them to join forces in the future for a greener world.
WORKSHOPS
We tie up with educational institutions and corporate offices to host offline and online seminars to spread awareness and information about the connection between climate change and animal agriculture. These workshops are interactive in nature and end with clear directions about how the participants can become a part of climate action.
SCREENINGS
We screen climate change focused documentaries and films, specifically the ones that show the impact of animal agriculture on the environment. Movies like Seaspiracy, Eating Our Way to Extinction, and Maa ka Doodh are a wake-up call and will make any person sit up and reconsider their consumption habits.
